$152,085 for Haiti
Speedmaster joined Retail Global and a group of global e-commerce partners to raise $152,085 for Haiti. The funds will reopen a hospital serving 10,000 people and build seven new homes for families. One hundred percent of every dollar raised reaches the people in need.
Catch Group founder Gabby Leibovich covers all charity costs, ensuring that no administrative overhead reduces the impact of donations.
Building on Retail ROI's Work in Haiti
The fundraising result follows Retail ROI's continued investment in Haitian communities. In March 2018, the organisation opened a school and provided computer labs for over 1,000 students - delivering access to first-world education in an environment where internet connectivity is limited or non-existent.
Offline Education at Scale
Through CADP, the initiative assembled offline copies of open-source learning materials that would otherwise be inaccessible in developing regions. Each tablet in the METL kit provides access to Khan Academy Lite, Wikipedia for Schools, Medline Plus, and other educational packages - all without internet access.
The material can be customised and updated as needs evolve, making it a sustainable resource rather than a one-time provision.
