2014 SNORE Season Opener: Battle at Primm

Speedmaster competes in the Competition 1400 Series within the S.N.O.R.E. desert racing series and entered the 2014 season third in points standings in both. The Battle at Primm on February 22-23 marked the first race of the year, drawing a record entry of 284 vehicles - 61 in our class alone.

Day One: From 28th to Tenth

Starting 28th off the line, the team worked through the field in conditions defined by heavy dust and virtually no wind. Visibility was limited and overtaking demanded patience. By the end of Day One, the truck had climbed to a tenth-place finish.

Day Two: Pushing for the Podium

Day Two started on the fourth row. The pace was immediate - picking off vehicles from the opening lap. By the fourth lap, the leaders' dust was in sight. Pushing to close the gap, slower lapped traffic made holding pace difficult and put a clean run at first place just out of reach.

The decision was made to settle the pace and protect the position. The result: a third-place class finish and a solid start to the season.
