Speedmaster CEO Jason Kencevski was recognised at the 2019 Australia Post Online Retail Industry Awards (ORIAS) for his contribution to the Australian e-commerce industry. The Individual Achievement Award honours the person who has made the most significant impact on online retail in Australia - nominated directly by the public.

The Recognition

Now in its tenth year, the ORIAS programme has become Australia's benchmark retail awards platform, recognising excellence across multichannel and online retailing. Past and present winners include Kogan.com, Cue Clothing Co, Supercheap Auto, Showpo, and Booktopia.

The Individual Achievement Award criteria include demonstrable leadership that benefits the broader Australian online retail industry, contribution to education and mentorship within the sector, and meaningful impact that may not be visible to the wider market.

The 2019 finalists were:

  • Jason Kencevski (Speedmaster)
  • Kristy Chong (Modibodi)
  • Natalie Wakeling (Embody Women)
  • Dean Jones & Audrey Khaing-Jones (GlamCorner)
  • Wayne Baskin (Booktopia)
  • Shane Lenton (CUE Clothing)

A Reflection of Approach

"To be honoured amongst the people we all learn from every single day is a special feeling. They are the leaders that make the industry what it is today." - Jason Kencevski, CEO, Speedmaster

This recognition reflects the broader trajectory of Speedmaster's approach to commerce - one that treats the customer experience, operational precision, and long-term thinking as interconnected priorities rather than separate functions.
