The 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series season was a full calendar of professional competition for Mike Strasburg and the Strasburg Racing Team. Running with Procomp Electronics support from Speedmaster, the team competed across the national event schedule in the Top Fuel category.

A Season of Competition

The NHRA Full Throttle Series took teams across the country, from the western swing through the Midwest events and into the Countdown to the Championship. Each national event presented different conditions, different competition, and different challenges. For the Strasburg Racing Team, the season was an opportunity to develop the car, refine the tune-up, and collect data across a range of operating environments.

The Strasburg Racing Team

Mike Strasburg's program represented a committed effort in one of motorsport's most demanding categories. Running a Top Fuel dragster requires a team that can prepare, maintain, and rebuild an engine between rounds, make tuning decisions under pressure, and execute consistently across a weekend. The Strasburg team managed that workload throughout the 2010 season.

Procomp Electronics and Speedmaster

Speedmaster's involvement through Procomp Electronics meant that the team's electronics, engine management, and data systems were directly connected to Speedmaster's engineering resources. A full season of Top Fuel competition generates an enormous volume of operational data. That information flows back into product development and validates component design under conditions that no bench test can replicate.
