Speedmaster Partnerships: A Decade of Building with Racers

How the programme works - and why Chairslayer is the latest addition

More Than Sponsorship

The Speedmaster Partnership Programme has operated for over a decade. It is not a sponsorship in the traditional sense - it is a structured collaboration between Speedmaster and selected racers, builders, and innovators.

The programme takes different forms depending on the partner. Sometimes it means donating or subsidising parts and components for a build. Other times it means sponsoring travel and race entry fees to get a team on the track. In every case, Speedmaster aligns with its partners on strategy - sharing forty years of knowledge in performance parts, car building, racing, and business operations.

Over the years, the programme has worked with teams including Zappia Racing, Darren Morgan, Strasberg, and Robert Campisi - whose 632-cubic-inch Ford Mustang became one of the fastest cars on the planet with Speedmaster's involvement.

Welcoming Chairslayer

The latest addition to the programme is Rob Parson and the Chairslayer foundation.

Professional racing demands peak physical condition from its drivers - a reality that has historically excluded disabled persons from competing. Chairslayer exists to change that. Their mission is direct: "Get Back in the Driver's Seat."

Rob Parson, Co-Founder and Chief Chairslayer, has co-developed the world's most advanced hand-controlled driving system - enabling precision control of every aspect of a car with no foot or leg movement required. The foundation produced the first wheelchair-bound driver to compete in the USA and runs workshops and events to demonstrate what is possible with determination and engineering.

The Speedmaster team welcomes Chairslayer to the Partnership Programme. What Rob Parson and his team are building - both technically and within the disabled community - is exactly the kind of work this programme was designed to support.
