Speedmaster built and delivered a complete, supercharged 496-cubic-inch big block for Nick Cannon's 1967 Chevelle project. The engine was assembled and dyno-tested at Speedmaster's Rialto facility by the in-house engineering team.
The Build
The 496 big block was designed around forged 4340 internals for strength and durability under forced induction. An 8-71 supercharger delivers boost, producing 750 hp as a reliable, turnkey package - ready to drop in and run.
The fuel system was also engineered by Speedmaster, featuring a billet carburettor and high-volume billet fuel pump matched to the supercharged application.
Turnkey, In-House
From internal components to fuel delivery, the entire system was designed, assembled, and validated under one roof. The engine was dyno-tested at the Rialto facility before delivery - a complete, engineered package rather than a collection of individual parts.
