Speedmaster Warehouse Leader Mike Skeels has been selected as one of SEMA's 2021 35 Under 35 honourees. Now in its ninth year, the programme identifies rising talent across the automotive aftermarket based on nominations from industry peers, with 2021 nominations reaching a record level.

From 5,000 to 75,000 Square Feet

Over seven years, Skeels has led Speedmaster's warehouse operations through three facility expansions - from 5,000 to 20,000 to 75,000 square feet. The operation now houses over 790,000 square feet of fully automated item inventory on the shelf.

His approach to leadership is direct: lead by example. In an environment where Speedmaster competes for talent against Amazon, Walmart, and FedEx - all within a two-mile radius in Los Angeles - Skeels has built a long-standing team that continues to grow rather than contract. The foundation is his ability to listen, motivate, and invest in people's individual goals.

About the Programme

SEMA's 35 Under 35 was launched in September 2012 to identify and encourage rising industry talent. Honourees are selected based on leadership within their organisations, entrepreneurship, commitment, integrity, and demonstrated impact in the marketplace.
