The Build

West Coast Customs unveiled a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro at their SEMA 2016 booth, built from radiator to rear end with Speedmaster components. The build represents a complete drivetrain and engine ancillary package from a single source - an approach that simplifies integration and ensures system-level compatibility across the platform.

Speedmaster Components

The primarily black 1969 Camaro features a Speedmaster radiator, fans, intake manifold, carburettor, valve covers and air cleaner, timing cover, harmonic balancer, transmission, and rear end. The scope of the build demonstrates what becomes possible when a single supplier delivers components engineered to work together.

A Growing Partnership

The Camaro is one of several West Coast Customs builds using Speedmaster components. Earlier in 2016, the partnership produced two classic Mustangs - a GT500 and a 1968 Midnight Purple Convertible. Additional builds include a 1961 Chevrolet Parkwood Wagon powered by a Speedmaster DNA crate engine, and a 1932 Ford Roadster running Speedmaster components throughout.

The range of platforms - from a 1932 Roadster to a late-1960s Camaro to a classic wagon - reflects the breadth of Speedmaster's catalogue and its application across eras and build styles.
