Speedmaster has partnered with DZ Motorsports on the construction of Eddie Harvey's 1964 Corvette - a build known as Vertigo. The collaboration brings together DZ Motorsports' build expertise and Speedmaster components in a vehicle built to compete at the highest level of the show car world.
The Partnership
Damon Roberts of DZ Motorsports visited the Speedmaster USA Distribution Center to meet with Jay and the team ahead of the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, California. The visit was an opportunity to coordinate on the Vertigo build and confirm the Speedmaster components going into the car. When builders at this level choose their partners, the decision is based on engineering quality, availability, and a shared commitment to the outcome.
The Build: 1964 Vette Vertigo
Eddie Harvey's 1964 Corvette is not a restoration - it is a ground-up custom build designed to showcase what is possible when elite craftsmanship meets precision-engineered components. The Vertigo was prepared for display at the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, one of the most prestigious automotive events in the country. Vehicles that appear at Pomona are judged against the highest standards in fit, finish, and execution.
Speedmaster Components in the Build
The Vertigo build incorporates Speedmaster parts, including part number 1-148-002. The selection of Speedmaster components for a build at this caliber reflects the same principle that drives every partnership: when the margin for error is zero, the parts have to be right. DZ Motorsports chose Speedmaster because the components met the engineering standard the build demanded.
Partnerships like this demonstrate where Speedmaster components belong - in the most demanding builds, chosen by the builders who accept nothing less than precise, reliable, engineered parts.
