Limited Worldwide Warranty
This warranty applies to Speedmaster® products purchased by the original consumer. Coverage terms, claims process, and exclusions are set out below.
Coverage & Scope
This Limited Warranty is extended exclusively to the original consumer and is not assignable or transferable. No warranties extend beyond those explicitly stated herein. Speedmaster® disclaims any implied warranties beyond the applicable warranty period specified on the product listing page.
Coverage duration is as follows:
- Standard products: 12 months from the date of purchase
- 5-Year Peace of Mind products: 5 years from the date of purchase
- Outlet items: 30 days from the date of purchase
Warranty Service
In the event of a defect in material or workmanship, Speedmaster®'s responsibility is strictly limited to repair or replacement of the defective product. No other obligation — expressed or implied — applies.
Final warranty determination is at the sole discretion of Speedmaster®. Speedmaster® is not responsible for: (a) labour, transportation, or other incidental charges; or (b) consequential or other damages incurred through use of any Speedmaster® product.
Warranty Claims
To initiate a warranty claim, return the alleged defective product to the place of purchase with a dated receipt and a completed warranty claim tag. Claims will be rejected if the date of purchase cannot be established.
Do not send products directly to Speedmaster®. Speedmaster® assumes no responsibility for products sent directly without prior authorisation.
Exclusions
The Speedmaster® Limited Worldwide Warranty does not apply to products that have been:
- (a) modified or altered in any way
- (b) subjected to adverse conditions — including misuse, neglect, accident, improper installation or adjustment, contamination, water damage, corrosion, or faulty repair
- (c) used in applications other than those recommended by Speedmaster®
Speedmaster® does not warrant, and disclaims all liability for, products used in racing activities and/or applications other than those specifically recommended in the current Speedmaster catalog.
Special Conditions
- Products used in marine or racing applications are expressly excluded from warranty coverage.
- Third member components are classified as racing-only when a spool is fitted.
Extended Warranty
Speedmaster also offers an extended warranty plan — purchasable at the time of order — that provides coverage beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty period. The extended plan is a separate third-party protection program and is not part of this Limited Worldwide Warranty.
