Speedmaster has entered a multi-year sponsorship partnership with John Force Racing as co-primary sponsor of the NHRA Top Fuel dragster driven by Josh Hart. The partnership was announced on January 28, 2026, and will debut with the Burnyzz Speed Shop / Speedmaster Top Fuel Dragster at the 75th anniversary NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway.
For a brand that began as a modest garage operation called Pete's Performance in 1979, a co-primary role in NHRA Top Fuel represents a measurable shift in scale and positioning - and a continuation of Speedmaster's commitment to motorsport as both a proving ground and a platform for what the brand engineers.
The Structure of the Partnership
Speedmaster will serve as co-primary sponsor of Hart's Top Fuel entry alongside Burnyzz Speed Shop, Hart's own performance business based in Ocala, Florida. The Speedmaster name will be represented throughout the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series across one of the sport's most competitive classes.
In addition to the Top Fuel program, Speedmaster holds associate sponsorship across all three John Force Racing Funny Car entries: Jack Beckman, Alexis DeJoria, and Jordan Vandergriff. That expanded presence integrates the brand across NHRA's premier nitro categories for the full season.
How the Deal Came Together
This was the first time a driver, not the team, brokered a primary sponsorship deal at John Force Racing. Hart built the relationship with Speedmaster CEO Jason Kencevski directly and assembled the partnership himself. As 16-time Funny Car champion and team owner John Force noted - Hart had the relationship, and he made it happen.
"This partnership brings together legacy and the next generation. We believe it helps set a powerful example for young entrepreneurs and leaders across the automotive industry." - Jason Kencevski, CEO, Speedmaster
Josh Hart: Builder, CEO, Driver
Hart's path to this moment reflects the same builder mindset that defines Speedmaster. He spent five years and $22 million of his own capital owning and operating his own Top Fuel team before joining John Force Racing. He is also the founder and CEO of Burnyzz Speed Shop - a business he built from the ground up alongside his wife, Brittanie. Two organisations built from the ground up. Two stories rooted in discipline, ambition, and long-term thinking. Now operating together on the largest stage in drag racing.
Why This Alignment Works
John Force Racing's legacy of championship success and Speedmaster's focus on high-performance engineering share the same foundation: building systems that perform under extreme conditions. The partnership connects two organisations defined by execution, durability, and long-term ambition.
Speedmaster is one of the only aftermarket manufacturers holding a co-primary sponsorship role in the NHRA Top Fuel category. The company operates with more than 500 employees across three continents, with over 25,000 parts designed, engineered, and manufactured in-house. That infrastructure - and the discipline behind it - is what makes a program of this scale possible.
