Overview

The TorqueWorm is a torque biasing 6 pinion gear type limited slip unit. Unlike our competitors that only use 3 or 4 pinion gears. The use of 6 pinion gears means the stress on gears is spread over a greater surface area, reducing the load on all internal components. The internal components are made from EN36 Material as used in racing. The outer cases made from 8620 Chrome-Nickel-Moly steel and the case hardened for long life and improved strength.

The Ford 9 Inch axle may have been discontinued by Ford in the 80's but thanks to its large 9" ring gear, drop out style 3rd member, axle shafts, and easy maintenance, it has continued to grow in popularity and now has more aftermarket support than any other axle.

Depending on the bearing spacing required, a carrier bearing spacer will be needed to fit other third member cases outside the use of Speedmaster cases.When using PCE204.1003 with a Speedmaster 3.25 inch housing, use PCE203.1009 to align the ring and pinion for greater strength and reliability.
